Valencia were in horrible shape prior to the break, mostly because of their involvement in the Champions League. They did drop out in the round of 16, so they will now shift their focus on the La Liga. They will return to action with a home match against Levante on Friday, who were not so good either.

Valencia (11-7-9) are coming off a harsh elimination from the Champions League, losing by 4-3 at home against Atalanta in their most recent match. They conceded eight goals on aggregate and were eliminated, and had won just one of their last eight matches in all competitions before the break (1-5-2). Valencia are sitting at the 7th spot of the league table with 42 points, four behind the top-four spots that lead to the Champions League next season. They have been excellent at home so far (8-0-6), beating Barcelona and holding Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid to draws at home.

Levante (10-14-3) have been pretty bad in 2020 overall, winning just two of their 11 matches in all competitions since the calendar changed (2-7-2). However, both wins came in their last five matches (2-2-1), with one of them coming against Real Madrid. Levante are now sitting at the 13th spot of the league table with 33 points, just eight above the relegation zone. They have been rather weak on the road so far, with 11 losses in their 14 away matches (3-11-0). They have lost each of their last five away matches for the La Liga, conceding multiple goals on each occasion.
