Arsenal hosts Leicester City on Aug. 13 in the second round of the 2022-23 English Premier League season.  

Arsenal opened at home Aug. 5 with a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace. The Gunners’ first goal came in the 20th minute as newcomer Oleksandr Zinchenko headed a Bukayo Saka corner to Gabriel Martinelli for the short-range header finish. Saka was involved in the second-half goal as well when his shot ricocheted off Crystal Palace's Marc Guéhi for an own goal.

Leicester City opened the EPL campaign at home Aug. 7 with a 2-2 draw against Brentwood despite leading 2-0 early in the second half. The match-tying goal was surrendered with just four minutes remaining. Timothy Castagne and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scored for LC.

Arsenal shutout Leicester 2-0 in both matches a season ago and finished fifth in the standings with 69 points. The Foxes were eighth with 52 points.

The Gunners lead the all-time series 19-8-5, outscoring the Foxes 65-33.
