Manchester City had a rather comfortable afternoon when they hosted Wolves over the weekend, and continued their winning streak in the Premier League. They will now remain at home for their next task, where they will play host to Leeds on Tuesday. Leeds are coming into this match after a tough loss to Chelsea, that put an end to their small unbeaten streak, and this trip could not come at a worse timing.

Manchester City (12-2-2) were totally dominant throughout their whole match against Wolves at home over the weekend. However, it took a penalty kick at the 66th minute for City to break the opposing defense, which was also the only goal of the match. They washed off a 2-1 loss to RB Leipzig in the Champions League a few days prior, but they had already capped the top spot in that group. Manchester City are still leading the Premier League with 38 points, scoring 33 goals and conceding just 9 in the process. They have the best home record (6-1-1), scoring 18 goals and conceding just 3 in the process.

Leeds (3-6-7) took the lead on the road against Chelsea, had to come back from one goal behind to pull even at 2-2, but then conceded a late penalty kick (the third of the match) to eventually lose by 3-2. Leeds had lost just 1 of their previous 7 Premier League matches, but they had recorded just 2 wins in that span. They are now sitting at the 15th spot of the league table with 16 points, just 5 points above the relegation zone. Leeds have a 1-4-3 record on the road so far, scoring 8 goals and conceding 14 in the process. They only beat lowly Norwich on the road, and only kept a single clean sheet so far (against Brighton).

Leeds actually remained unbeaten in two Premier League matches against Manchester City last season, beating them by 2-1 in Manchester after a 1-1 draw in Leeds. City will be missing a few key players here, including Joao Cancelo, but so are Leeds, who actually have more absences, and to more important players. Pep knows that, and he will try to exploit it.
