Houston have played a lot of matches on the road and have struggled to get results, but will now return home for their next one. They will play host to Western Conference leaders LAFC on Friday. LAFC are coming off a tough loss in the US Open Cup but have been great all season.

LAFC are still leading the West with 43 points, nine ahead of the LA Galaxy. They also have the best away record in the Conference (5-2-3), having already scored multiple goals on seven occasions. Houston (8-7-3) did not have an easy job in their away match against Cincinnati and eventually lost by 2-3. That means that Houston have now lost four of their last five matches. And all of those were on the road. They are now sitting at the 7th spot of the Western Conference with 27 points, one behind San Jose. Houston have been really strong at home so far (7-0-3), where they have scored 20 goals and have conceded just nine. However, they have kept just one clean sheet in their last seven home matches (4-1-2).
