LAFC at FC Dallas 5/19/19 - MLS Picks & Predictions
Two teams that met on Thursday in the reverse match-up will lock horns again on Sunday, but this time it is FC Dallas who will host LAFC. Dallas have been in pretty bad form lately with no wins in their last four, while LAFC have been really strong so far in the season.
FC Dallas (5-5-2) met a really bad 0-2 loss on the road against LAFC on Thursday, and the final score could have easily been bigger. Dallas have been struggling lately with just one point in their last four matches (0-3-1). They have now slid to the 5th spot of the Western Conference with 17 points, two ahead of Minnesota and three behind Houston. Dallas have been solid at home so far (3-1-2) but have kept just two clean sheets. LAFC (9-1-3) pretty much destroyed Dallas on Thursday, on both ends of the pitch just like they did in their previous match, a win in Columbus. LAFC have been playing top soccer in the MLS this season and it is no wonder they are still leading the Western Conference with 30 points. They have also been really strong on the road so far (3-1-2), scoring 15 while conceding just 4 goals so far.
FC Dallas have won the only previous match as hosts against LAFC by 1-2 and there is total balance in this match-up after three matches (1-1-1). Dallas have lost three in a row and are not known to go into deep slumps. LAFC have been tremendous and all that, but I still think that Dallas will at least avoid the loss.
