Italian Serie A – Matchday 36 – Best Bets, Odds, Picks & Predictions

With just three rounds of fixtures remaining in the 2019/20 Serie A season, there is still plenty of business to sort out at both ends of the table. Juventus should win the title, but Atalanta, Inter, and Lazio are still in contention. Meanwhile, Lecce, Genoa, Torino, and Udinese are still in danger of relegation.

Bologna vs. Lecce – 07/26/20 

It’s difficult to predict exactly which way this game will go. The bookies have made Bologna (2.30) the slight favorite, but they clearly think that relegation-battler Lecce (2.70) stands a decent chance of getting something from this matchup. Rather than going with the outright markets for this one, I think backing both teams to score makes sense. Both teams have scored in seven of Bologna’s previous eight games, while Lecce has been involved in plenty of high-scoring games since the resumption.

Verona vs. Lazio – 07/26/20 

Due to Lazio’s iffy recent form, the bookies have priced the away win at 2.00 for this game. In my opinion, that is definitely worth taking advantage of. Sure, the Eagles have been nowhere near their best of late. But they have more than enough quality to get the better of Verona (3.30). Verona is without a win in six games and has only managed to win one of their previous nine. This matchup provides Lazio with the perfect opportunity to build on their midweek victory over Cagliari. 

Pick: Lazio to Win – 2.00 

Juventus vs. Sampdoria – 07/26/20 

Admittedly, this is a long shot. But given both sides’ form, I think it is worth placing a small stake on this bet. Juventus (1.22) is the clear favorite, while Sampdoria (11.00) is the rank outsider. However, backing the away team to avoid defeat could prove to be very profitable. It is no secret that Juventus has stuttered lately, winning just one of their last five games. Meanwhile, Sampdoria has won five of their last seven. With that in mind, it wouldn’t be a huge shock if La Samp prevented Juve from winning on Sunday.
