Meanwhile, Genoa have only managed to win two of their eight games since the restart, while four defeats during that period have left the club just four points clear of the drop zone. Given the contrasting form of these two sides, I think odds of 2.50 for the home win are very generous here. After all, Sampdoria are now eight points ahead of Genoa.

It’s hardly surprising that the bookies are giving us odds of 9.00 for bottom club SPAL to win this game. With four games remaining this term, the Ferrara outfit have already been relegated from the top flight after winning just one of their last 14 league games. Roma should win this game comfortably, although the price for the away win (1.29) doesn’t offer much value. Instead, I’m backing Roma to score over 2.5 goals. Across their past six wins, Roma have averaged just over 2.8 goals per games. The capital club are likely to keep up that record against a weak SPAL defense.

Lazio vs. Cagliari – 07/23/20 

Lazio (1.40) only lost two of their 26 league games before the campaign was put on hold, but a dismal post-lockdown run has seen the Eagles win just two of their eight games since the resumption. In fact, five defeats in that time have crushed the club’s title hopes. Meanwhile, Cagliari (6.50) have only lost two of their nine games since the restart. It will be difficult for Cagliari to beat Lazio, but I’m confident the away side can get something from this fixture. Backing Cagliari to avoid defeat on Thursday could prove to be very profitable.
