Italian Serie A – Matchday 30 – Best Bets, Odds, Picks & Predictions

There are seven Serie A games for us to enjoy on Sunday, and I have chosen to feature three matchups that offer excellent value. Napoli vs. Roma is arguably the standout tie of the round, while the result of Udinese vs. Genoa is likely to have a big impact on the relegation battle.

Let’s get stuck into the best bets for Matchday 30 of the 2019/20 Serie A season.

Cagliari vs. Atalanta – 07/05/20

Whenever Atalanta play, there are goals. Only one of Atalanta’s previous 12 games in all competitions has produced under 2.5 goals, and that was a 2-0 win over Napoli last time out. It’s also worth pointing Thursday’s victory was the first time both teams hadn’t scored in an Atalanta game since January. Cagliari have also been involved in some high-scoring games since the restart, losing 2-1 to Verona before thrashing Torino 4-2. I will be very surprised if this matchup fails to produce less than three goals, and I’m confident that both sides will get on the scoresheet, too.

Pick: Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals – 1.80

Udinese vs. Genoa – 07/05/20

Udinese kept their third clean sheet in six games as they beat Roma 2-0 last time out. Udinese now boast the best defensive record in the bottom half of the table and have conceded fewer Serie A goals than a handful of teams in the top half this term. Meanwhile, Genoa are one of the lowest scoring sides in the division. This game could easily end as a goalless draw, but backing the draw is always a risky option. Instead, I’m going with Udinese to keep a clean sheet. Odds of 2.63 for the hosts to keep a shutout seem very generous.

Pick: Udinese to Keep a Clean Sheet – 2.63

Napoli vs. Roma – 07/06/20

Sixth-place Napoli have the chance to move level with fifth-place Roma on Sunday. Napoli currently sit three points behind Roma and come into this game on a good run. Despite losing to Atalanta earlier in the week, Napoli have won five of their previous six league games and also got the better of Juventus in the Coppa Italia final recently. By contrast, Roma have lost back-to-back games. The capital club haven’t been in good form since the restart, so the price for the Napoli win seems too good to miss in my opinion.

Pick: Napoli to Win – 2.00
