Italian Serie A – Matchday 29 – Best Bets, Odds, Picks & Predictions

The jam-packed Serie A schedule continues to dish up games on an almost daily basis at the moment, and Matchday 29 is no exception. There are countless betting opportunities in Italy’s top tier right now, so let’s check out this week’s best bets!

Atalanta vs. Napoli – 07/02/20

Each of Atalanta’s three games since the break have produced exactly five goals. In fact, Atalanta’s three games leading up to the break produced a combined total of 21 goals – an average of seven goals per game! You probably won’t be surprised to hear that Atalanta are the division’s highest scorers by some distance this season. Napoli also notched up over 3.5 goals in their previous game, so I’m expecting this be another high-scoring encounter. Both sides are in good form, making it difficult to pick a winner. For that reason, the over 3.5 goals market is looking very attractive here.

Pick: Over 3.5 Goals – 2.40

Roma vs. Udinese – 07/02/20

Roma have returned to action with a win and a defeat which have left the club fifth – nine points behind fourth-place Atalanta and three points ahead of sixth-place Napoli. Meanwhile, Udinese are just three points clear of the relegation zone after suffering back-to-back defeats since the resumption. Only bottom-club SPAL have scored fewer Serie A goals than Udinese this term, although their defensive record is better than some top-half sides. Given Udinese’s goalscoring record, I wouldn’t be surprised if Roma prevented the away team from scoring on Thursday. Odds of 2.20 for the home side to keep a clean sheet look tasty.

Pick: Roma to Keep a Clean Sheet – 2.20

Juventus vs. Torino – 07/04/20

The Turin derby is often a mismatch, but the gulf between Juventus and Torino is at its biggest for a number of years right now. Juventus are four points clear at the top of the table, while Torino are down in thirteenth with less than half as many points as their cross-city rivals. Torino have the worst defensive record in the top three-quarters of the league, and Juventus have been scoring goals for fun of late. Indeed, the league leaders thrashed Lecce 4-0 last time out. The Juventus win is at 1.30 here, but I think the home side will score at least three goals. I recommend adding the over 2.5 goals market into the mix to boost the odds.

Pick: Juventus to Win and Over 2.5 Goals – 1.92
