Italian Serie A – Matchday 28 – Best Bets, Odds, Picks & Predictions

Juventus took another step towards claiming the 2019/20 Serie A title with a thumping 4-0 victory of relegation-strugglers Leece on Friday night. Can the chasing pack keep pace on Matchday 28? 

Here are this week’s best Serie A bets. 

Napoli vs. SPAL – 06/28/20 

Napoli returned to action with a Coppa Italia triumph over Juventus before cruising past Verona 2-0 in their first league game for over three months, along with keeping back-to-back clean sheets. The Naples outfit are now sixth – three points ahead of AC Milan and six points behind Roma. Meanwhile, SPAL remain second bottom after losing to Cagliari in their first game back. With just 20 goals from 27 league games in 2019/20, SPAL are the division’s lowest scorers. Napoli should win this comfortably, but given SPAL’s woeful goalscoring record, a clean sheet could be on the cards for the home side as well.

Udinese vs. Atalanta – 06/28/20 

Fourth-place Atalanta are now four points behind Inter Milan and eight points clear of Roma following two high-scoring victories since the break. La Dea thrashed Sassuolo 4-1 before coming from two goals down to beat title-chasing Lazio 3-2. Atalanta have now scored a whopping 77 league goals this term – a rate of just under three goals per game. At the other end of the table, Udinese are just three points above the relegation zone after losing to Torino in their first game since the restart. All the signs are pointing towards another trademark win for the away side here. 

Pick: Atalanta to Win and Over 2.5 Goals – 2.00 

Parma vs. Inter Milan – 06/28/20 

Parma have looked good since returning from the lay-off, drawing with Torino before hammering Genoa 4-1 last time out. They remain in the top half of the table and firmly in the hunt for a Europa League place this term. On the other hand, Inter Milan have been less than convincing. Inter returned to action with a narrow 2-1 victory over struggling Sampdoria before being held to a draw by Sassuolo on Wednesday. Inter are the favorites at 1.53 here, while the Parma win is at 6.00. I’m not sure Parma can win this, but a draw could be on the cards. Backing the home side to avoid defeat makes sense.
