Argentina went to hell and back in order to finally book their ticket to the World Cup, and they will now do their best to prepare themselves for the big event. They chose a really weak opponent to clash against, as they will play host to minnows Haiti on Tuesday. Haiti have not been very bad lately but are still a much weaker side than Argentina.
Argentina were in real danger of missing out on the World Cup, but they managed to get their act together, and will now feature in the World Cup. However, they have produced some really mixed results in their warm-up friendlies over the past couple of months, as they have suffered bad losses against Nigeria (4-2) and Spain (1-6). They did record clean sheet wins against Russia (1-0) and Italy (0-2), but they will now look for a dominant win here in order to get them going.
Haiti will not be in the World Cup, but they are slowly building for the future. They never made it past the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers, where they finished at the 3rd spot (1-4-1). They might have scored just a couple of goals in those six matches, but they conceded just four in the process. In their last two friendlies they have actually done a pretty solid job, as they held Japan to a spectacular 3-3 draw on the road, before defeating UAE by 1-0 on the road. However, they are in for a rough ride in Argentina.
