German Bundesliga – Matchday 30 – Best Bets, Odds, Picks & Predictions

With just five rounds of fixtures remaining in the 2019/20 Bundesliga season, it’s still all to play for. Yes, Bayern Munich are on course for yet another title. But the top four and relegation battles are far from over. 

Here are this week's best bets for the German top flight. 

Bayer Leverkusen vs. Bayern Munich – 06/06/20 

League-leaders Bayern Munich travel to fifth-place Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday, and I’m expecting there to be goals galore! Both sides have been involved in numerous high-scoring games since the restart. Three of Leverkusen’s previous four games have produced over 3.5 goals, while Bayern have claimed two five-goal victories in their last three outings. Both teams are devastating going forward, but they both have their weaknesses at the back. For that reason, over 3.5 total goals makes sense here. 

Pick: Over 3.5 Goals – 1.80 

RB Leipzig vs. Paderborn – 06/06/20 

Leipzig – who currently find themselves third and two points behind Borussia Dortmund – have been in red-hot form since the season resumed. The Red Bulls are unbeaten in their last four games, with a 5-0 thrashing of Mainz and a 4-2 victory over FC Koln during that period. On the other hand, bottom club Paderborn suffered a humiliating 6-1 drubbing at the hands of Dortmund last weekend and are destined for relegation. You have to fear the worst for Paderborn on Saturday, so I’m backing Leipzig to secure another big win. 

Pick: RB Leipzig to Win and Over 3.5 Goals – 2.10 

Union Berlin vs. Schalke – 06/07/20 

This matchup brings together two sides in dismal form. Neither Union Berlin or Schalke have won since the restart, with Union losing three of their last four and Schalke suffering four straight defeats. Schalke are in freefall and have dropped to tenth after only managing to score three goals in their previous 12 games. Meanwhile, Union are down in fourteenth – six points behind Schalke – and are now in serious danger of relegation. I can see this being an extremely tense encounter, with both sides desperate to avoid defeat. Given Schalke’s recent goalscoring record, under 2.5 goals at 1.85 seems like a great bet.
