German Bundesliga: Best Bets – Matchday 24 – Odds, Predictions & Picks

For this week’s best Bundesliga bets, I have chosen to look at FC Koln vs. Schalke 04, Union Berlin vs. Wolfsburg, and RB Leipzig vs. Bayer Leverkusen. I believe these three games off the best value in the German top flight on Matchday 24. 

FC Koln vs. Schalke 04 – 2/29/20 

FC Koln looked dead and buried heading into the winter break, but a fantastic run has seen the club move six points clear of the bottom three. Koln have won three of their last five games and their home record is healthy. By contrast, Schalke have found themselves seven points off the top four following a dismal run of five games without a win. Schalke have also managed to win just four of their eleven away games this season. Koln are the in-form side coming into this matchup, so odds of 2.20 for the home win seem too good to miss. 

Pick: FC Koln to Win – 2.20 

Union Berlin vs. Wolfsburg – 3/1/20 

Union Berlin and Wolfsburg have both won three of their last five games, and the home side sit five points behind the Wolves in the table. Neither team is known for scoring goals, but both sides have good defensive records in the Bundesliga this season. I can see this being a very tight matchup. Both teams are likely to sit back and ease into the game, so I don’t think we’ll see too many goals at Stadion An der Alten Forsterei on Sunday. Under 2.5 seems like the best option here. 

Pick: Under 2.5 Goals – 1.75 

RB Leipzig vs. Bayer Leverkusen – 3/1/20 

The result of this clash is likely to have a big say in the title race come the end of the season. Second-place Leipzig currently sit five points ahead of fifth-place Bayer, so both sides will be desperate to claim all three points on Sunday. Both sides have been involved in some high-scoring games of late. Leipzig beat Werder 3-0 a fortnight ago before thrashing Schalke 5-0 last weekend. Meanwhile, both teams have scored in six of Leverkusen’s last seven games in all competitions. I'll be very surprised if we don’t see goals at both ends of the pitch in the matchup.
