French Ligue 1: Best Bets – Round 26 – Odds, Predictions & Picks

PSG and Amiens shared the spoils in an eight-goal thriller last weekend, while Marseille extended their 14-game unbeaten streak with victory over Lille. On Matchday 26, Marseille will be looking to continue their remarkable run against off-form Nantes. Elsewhere, Monaco face Dijon and St-Etienne host Reims. Let’s get stuck into this week’s best bets for Ligue 1.

Marseille vs. Nantes – 2/22/20

Marseille have firmly established themselves as the second-best team in France this season. Andre Villas-Boas' side may be ten points behind league leaders PSG, but they have opened up an eleven-point gap between them and third-place Rennes. On the other hand, Nantes are in freefall after failing to win any of their previous five games, while any remaining early-season hopes of a top-four finish have quickly vanished. Considering the recent form of both teams, I view 1.80 as an excellent price for the home win here.

Pick: Marseille to Win – 1.80

Dijon vs. Monaco – 2/22/20

This could prove to be a very lucrative bet. Monaco have turned their season around with three wins on the bounce – propelling themselves up to fifth in the table. By contrast, Dijon are sitting just inside the bottom three with one win in five. However, Dijon have been scoring plenty of goals recently, so they could easily get on the scoresheet on Saturday. Having said that, I expect Monaco to extend their winning run and claim all three points. Both teams are likely to score, but Monaco should come away with the win.

Pick: Monaco to Win and Both Teams to Score – 3.60

St-Etienne vs. Stade Reims – 2/23/20

Reims claimed yet another impressive result in the previous round, this time beating Rennes to move eight points clear of St-Etienne. David Guion’s side have gained a reputation as one of the most organized teams in the French top flight, and this is backed up by their outstanding defensive record.

No other Ligue 1 team has conceded fewer goals than Reims in 2019/20. St-Etienne have now lost four in a row, and defeat to Brest last time out, coupled with Nimes’ recent upturn in form, means St-Etienne are getting dragged into a relegation battle. I don’t think this matchup with produce more than two goals.

Pick: Under 2.5 Goals – 1.65
