French Ligue 1: Best Bets – Matchday 27 – Odds, Predictions & Picks

PSG will be looking to return to extend their lead at the top when lowly Dijon come to town on Saturday, while Monaco can continue to climb with victory over Reims. Elsewhere, in-form Lyon look set to get the better of struggling St-Etienne on Sunday. 

Let’s get stuck into this week’s best Ligue 1 bets. 

PSG vs. Dijon – 2/29/20 

PSG are running away with the Ligue 1 title once again and now sit 13 points clear of second-place Marseille. However, the champions elect have stuttered recently. PSG have still been scoring plenty of goals, but they have conceded in each of their last six outings. Dijon are sitting just above the relegation zone, but they have scored in all but one of their last 13 matchups in all competitions. I’m expecting PSG to return to winning ways on Saturday, but odds of 1.11 for the home win don’t offer much value. Given both teams’ recent record, it makes sense to at the both teams to score market into the mix. 

Pick: PSG to Win and Both Teams to Score – 2.08 

Monaco vs. Stade Reims – 2/29/20 

Monaco’s recent upturn in form has seen them move up to fifth in the table following a four-game unbeaten run. Three wins during that time have propelled Monaco into contention for a top-four finish. Meanwhile, Reims are eighth. Reims currently boast the best defensive record in the division, but only bottom club Toulouse have score fewer goals than Reims this season. Monaco are the in-from team here, so I can see the home side claiming another win this weekend. The Monaco win is at 1.62. But considering Reims’ goalscoring record, I suggest adding the under 3.5 goals market into the equation to enhance the odds. 

Pick: Monaco to Win and Under 3.5 Goals – 2.25 

Lyon vs. St-Etienne – 3/1/20 

Lyon have only lost one of their previous four league games and will be heading into Matchday 27 full of confidence after a famous Champions League victory over Juventus in midweek. Rudi Garcia’s side have definitely found some consistency of late. By contrast, St-Etienne are wildly out of sorts and have only managed to win one of their last ten league games. Considering the contrasting form of these two teams, the Lyon win at 1.70 seems like a great bet. Relegation is looking like a real possibility for St-Etienne, while Lyon are on the up.
