Portland met a tough loss against Montreal in their last match and saw their winning streak come to an end. They will now return home for their next match, where they will play host to FC Dallas on Sunday. Dallas look a lot better lately and will come here looking for points.

Portland (5-8-2) were not very good in their away match against Montreal and even though they pulled even, they eventually lost by 1-2. That loss came after three consecutive wins in all competitions for Portland. They are still stuck at the bottom of the Western Conference with 17 points, two behind Colorado and Kansas. They have only played two home matches for the MLS (1-1-0). FC Dallas (7-6-5) are coming off a really frustrating 2-2 draw at home against Vancouver, in a match where they took a two-goal lead. They have been in pretty solid shape lately with just one loss in their last six matches in all competitions (3-1-2), but that loss eliminated them from the US Open Cup. Dallas are now 4th in the West with 26 points. They have not had much luck on the road so far in the season (2-5-1) and have not kept a single clean sheet.
