The LA Galaxy have actually done pretty good without Zlatan Ibrahimovic in their last two matches, where they have recorder equal wins against Montreal and San Jose. They will now look to make it three in a row when they will play host to FC Dallas on Wednesday. FC Dallas are going through a rough patch lately, having won just two of their last five.
LA Galaxy (5-6-1) are coming off back-to-back wins against Montreal (away) and San Jose (home) by 1-0 and 0-1 respectively. Oddly enough, they were without talismanic forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic in both matches, who was suspended. They are now sitting at the 7th spot of the Western Conference with 16 points, just as many as Minnesota and Real Salt Lake. They have been hit-or-miss so far at home (3-3-0), where they have scored 9 goals against 11 conceded.
FC Dallas (5-1-5) were really lucky in their last match, where they defeated Toronto FC by 1-0 on the road. They took an early lead and Toronto FC did miss a penalty kick just six minutes later and were much better overall. Despite the win, they have not been in strong form lately, as they have won just two of their last five (2-1-2). Even so, they are still sitting at the 4th spot of the Western Conference with 20 points, five points behind Conference leaders Sporting Kansas City who have played two more matches. They have been solid on the road so far (2-1-1), where they have scored and conceded four goals.
