Two teams that started the new season with draws but won their next matches will lock horns on Saturday when Columbus will host FC Dallas. Columbus Crew did a great job against New England on the road, while FC Dallas edged out the LA Galaxy.
Columbus Crew (1-0-1) were really lucky in their away match against New England, where they managed to win by 2-0. They took an early lead in that match and scored a late goal in the stoppage time to reach a shaky win. Their opponents missed a chance to tie the match but failed to convert the penalty kick. Columbus got away with it but now they will return home for their next match. FC Dallas (1-0-1) had a rather comfortable job against the LA Galaxy at home, beating them by 0-2. After a goal-less first half FC Dallas took the lead at the 53rd minute from the penalty spot with Ziegler. Acosta fired another one just eight minutes later. The Galaxy were unable to threaten FC Dallas in that match despite creating 12 scoring chances.
The last time these two met in this venue was in the 2017 season where Columbus won by 1-2. Last season they played for a goal-less draw in Dallas. Columbus have been great as hosts over the years (12-3-7) and have lost just once in the last eight here. Going with the home team here.
