This should be a competitive match although not an especially exciting one. Southampton gets a slight edge as the home team but will need to produce more scoring chances than the one shot on target it got against Aston Villa. Against three common opponents – Aston Villa, Chelsea and Leeds – Southampton has gone 1-1-1, while Everton has a draw and two losses. Both tied Leeds and lost to Aston Villa, but Southampton beat Chelsea 2-1 at home, while Everton lost 1-0 on the home pitch. We like the Saints to win a close one. Final Score Prediction: Southampton wins 2-1.
