Liverpool did their duty against Brighton and are still comfortably leading the Premier League. They will now play host to Everton on Wednesday, for the first Merseyside Derby of the season. Everton have struggled to get results lately but this is a meaningful match for them.

They have struggled to get results on the road so far (1-5-1) but they’ve scored five goals in their last three.

Liverpool (13-0-1) sealed the deal early on when they hosted Brighton, scoring two early goals and eventually winning by 1-2. They have not recorded easy wins, but Liverpool are still leading the Premier League with 40 points so far, eight ahead of Manchester City and Leicester. They have won all seven matches at home but have not yet kept a single clean sheet there.
