Two teams currently at the bottom half of the league table will lock horns on Saturday, when Burnley will host Everton. Burnley have not been in very bad shape lately and are actually on a streak, but so are Everton, who have lost three matches in a row.
Everton (2-4-1) are coming off a solid performance at home against Manchester City, where they fought hard but conceded two late goals to eventually lose by 3-1. That was their third consecutive loss in the Premier League but in-between they beat Sheffield Wednesday for the Carabao Cup. Everton are now sitting at the 15th spot of the league table with 7 points, having scored just six goals and having conceded 12 in the process.
Burnley (2-2-3) played a somewhat balanced match on the road against Aston Villa last week, where they pulled even twice in order to hold out for a 2-2 draw. They are now undefeated in their last three matches (1-0-2). Burnley are sitting at the 11th spot of the Premier League with 9 points, two ahead of Everton and with three teams in-between. They have been hit-or-miss at home so far in the season (2-2-0), keeping clean sheets in both wins.
