Europa League – Round of 16 – Best Bets, Odds, Picks & Predictions

Following a five-month lay-off, the 2019/20 UEFA Europa League returns this week. There are eight Round of 16 ties to complete, giving us plenty of opportunities to take advantage of the bookies.

I have chosen to feature bets for three games that I believe offer the best value. Let’s get stuck into the best Europa League Round of 16 bets.

Manchester United vs. LASK – 08/05/20

Manchester United comes into this game having thrashed LASK 5-0 in the first leg back in March. The Red Devils racked up 57% possession and 19 shots in the reverse fixture, while LASK failed to register a single shot on target. The English side finished their domestic campaign in strong form, going unbeaten in their last 14 EPL games to claim a top-four finish. On the other hand, LASK lost their last three league games in a row. The Man Utd win is at 1.20 here, so I recommend adding the over 2.5 goals into the mix to enhance your odds.

Pick: Manchester United to Win and Over 2.5 Goals – 1.80

Sevilla vs. Roma – 08/06/20

Sevilla are the favorites this win this matchup at 2.10, but I’m going against the bookies on this occasion. Sure, the Spanish side went unbeaten in their last 15 La Liga games. But Roma are also enjoying an unbeaten run of their own. The Italians won seven of their previous eight league games to finish fifth in Serie A. Furthermore, Roma head into this clash having beaten newly-crowned champions Juventus last weekend. Sevilla haven’t played a competitive game for a fortnight, so I think that gives Roma the upper hand.

Pick: Roma to Win – 3.30

Basel vs. Eintracht Frankfurt – 08/06/20

It’s difficult to predict which way this game will go, and the bookies’ odds reflect that. The Basel win is at 2.50, while the Frankfurt win is at 2.40. However, I like the look of the over 3.5 goals market for this one. Basel claimed a shock 3-0 win in the first leg, so Frankfurt must come out fighting in the second leg. It’s worth pointing out that six of Frankfurt’s ten games after the restart produced over 3.5 goals. Also, Basel were involved in five straight games that produced over 3.5 goals last month. All the signs are pointing towards a high-scoring matchup.

Pick: Over 3.5 Total Goals – 2.00
