Europa League – Quarter-Finals – Best Bets, Odds, Picks & Predictions

The 2019/20 campaign started over a year ago, but we have finally reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League. One of the remaining eight teams are just three wins away from lifting the trophy. Will favorites Man Utd or Inter reign supreme? Or can underdogs Copenhagen or Basel upset the odds? 

Here are my Europa League quarter-final best bets. 

Inter Milan vs. Bayer Leverkusen – 08/10/20 

Inter advanced to the last eight with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Getafe last week. The Italian side come into this game on a nine-game unbeaten run in all competitions and have won their last four with an aggregate scoreline of 9-0. Meanwhile, Leverkusen edged past Rangers in the Round of 16, but the Germans only managed to win two of their final five league games. Inter are in unstoppable form right now, so odds of 2.00 for the Inter win seem too good to miss. 

Pick: Inter Milan to Win – 2.00 

Manchester United vs. FC Copenhagen – 08/10/20 

Man Utd are the clear favorites to win this game at 1.20, while the Copenhagen win is at 12.00. The bookies’ odds clearly reflect the vast gulf between these two teams, but backing the Red Devils doesn’t offer much value. Instead, I recommend adding the over 2.5 goals market into the mix. Five of Man Utd’s last nine league games produced three or more goals, so I’m confident that in-form trio Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, and Mason Greenwood will fire their side to another high-scoring victory. 

Pick: Manchester United to Win and Over 2.5 Goals – 1.80 

Shakhtar Donetsk vs. FC Basel – 08/11/20 

It’s difficult to predict which way this game will go. The bookies have made Shakhtar the favorites at 1.83, whil you can get odds of 4.00 for the Basel win. However, I don’t think that Shakhtar that much better than Basel. Both teams advanced with comfortable Round of 16 results, so I can see this being a closely-fought contest. After netting nine goals between them in the previous round, I’m confident that both teams will score here. 

Pick: Both Teams to Score – 1.70 

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Sevilla – 08/11/20 

Sevilla come into this game on the back of an excellent 15-game unbeaten run, which guided the club to fourth in the final La Liga standings. With that in mind, it’s hardly surprising that the bookies have made the Spanish side the favorites at 2.10. Having said that, Wolves have only lost three of their previous 13 outings and will be confident of upsetting the odds on Tuesday. I’ve got a good feeling about Wolves, and odds of 3.40 for the English team to win make this bet very attractive. 

Pick: Wolverhampton Wanderers to Win – 3.40
