Everton vs. Southampton – 07/09/20 

Just one point separates eleventh-place Everton and thirteenth-place Southampton, so this mid-table matchup is likely to be a closely-fought contest. Everton come into this game on the back of a poor 1-0 loss to Tottenham, while Southampton will be brimming with confidence after beating Manchester City by the same scoreline. Saints have been in fine form since the restart, but three of Everton’s previous four games have produced under 2.5 goals. The Toffees aren’t scoring many, but they aren’t conceding a lot either. I think this will be a low-scoring affair with very few goalscoring opportunities.

Bournemouth vs. Tottenham Hotspur – 07/09/20 

Bournemouth have to show some fight sooner or later, don’t they? Four straight defeats have left the Cherries stuck in the drop zone, and they are running out of time to save their season. Meanwhile, Tottenham have only lost one of their four game since the resumption, although their performances have been far from convincing. Given that Spurs are very unpredictable, I can see Bournemouth getting something here. Tottenham come into this game as the clear favorites at 1.67, while the home win is at 5.00. However, backing the Cherries to avoid defeat makes more sense to me.

Aston Villa vs. Manchester United – 07/09/20 

This matchup brings together two teams in contrasting form. Manchester United are on their longest unbeaten run since 2017 and have won each of their previous three games by over 2.5 goals. On the other hand, Aston Villa are without a win in nine and look destined to make a swift return to the Championship. Man Utd’s forward line is on fire right now, with Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford, and Bruno Fernandes all in red-hot form. All the signs are pointing towards a high-scoring victory for the Red Devils.
