English Premier League – Matchday 30 – Best Bets, Odds, Picks & Predictions

As we approach the business end of the season, there is still plenty of unfinished business to sort out in the Premier League. Of course, Liverpool have all but wrapped up the title. But the top-four race is far from over and the relegation battle remains wide open.

It’s always fun betting on England’s top flight at this time of year, so let’s take a look at the best bets in the Premier League this weekend.

Newcastle United vs. Sheffield United – 3/14/20

Newcastle moved up to 13th last weekend with a 1-0 victory over Southampton – the third league game in a row for the Magpies where under 1.5 goals were scored. Steve Bruce’s side have a decent defensive record, but scoring goals has been a real problem all season. Meanwhile, Sheff Utd come into this game on the back of a 1-0 win over Norwich. The Blades have the second-best defensive record in the division, but have also scored the fewest goals in the top half of the table. All the signs are pointing towards a low-scoring matchup when these two teams meet on Saturday.

Pick: Under 2.5 Goals – 1.60

Bournemouth vs. Crystal Palace – 3/14/20

Crystal Palace have won three straight league games and now find themselves 12 points clear of the bottom three. 1-0 victories over Newcastle, Brighton, and Watford have lifted Palace to 11th, so Roy Hodgson’s men are surely safe for another year. On the other hand, Bournemouth are fighting for their lives. The Cherries are just inside the relegation zone on goals difference and will be desperate for a win this weekend. Bournemouth need the points more than Palace at the moment, so I can see the Cherries edging the Eagles to claim all three points.

Pick: Bournemouth to Win – 2.30

West Ham United vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers – 3/15/20

West Ham are another team struggling against relegation right now. The Hammers are one of three teams locked on 27 points, but Dean Smith’s men are only two points ahead of second from bottom Aston Villa. At the other end of the table, Wolves remain five points off the Champions League places following a five-game unbeaten run. I think there will be plenty of goals in this game. West Ham need to go for the win, so their defense is likely to be left exposed. With forwards Diogo Jota and Raul Jimenez in red-hot form for Wolves, over 2.5 goals is the best bets for this game.

Pick: Over 2.5 Goals – 1.90
