English FA Cup 5th Round: Best Bets – Odds, Predictions & Picks

Following months of thrills and spills, there are just 16 teams remaining in this season’s FA Cup. In total, ten Premier League sides are left, while five Championship clubs feature in the fifth round. Remarkably, Portsmouth are the only team from outside the top two tiers left in the competition.

Here are the best bets for the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Chelsea vs. Liverpool – 3/3/20

Liverpool’s dreams of going the entire season unbeaten were crushed by Watford at the weekend. The Reds are enduring a rough patch at the moment and Jurgen Klopp’s side have conceded six goals in their previous three games in all competitions. Meanwhile, Chelsea’s defensive record is also poor. The Blues haven’t kept a clean sheet in their past eight outings and have conceded the most goals in the EPL’s top six. However, Chelsea and Liverpool are both capable of scoring plenty of goals. For that reason, both teams to score makes sense here.

Pick: Both Teams to Score – 1.60

West Bromwich Albion vs. Newcastle United – 3/3/20

West Brom are currently flying high at the top of the Championship. The Baggies have only lost one of their last seven games and look set to gain promotion to the Premier League come the end of the campaign. On the other hand, Newcastle are struggling in the top-flight. Steve Bruce’s side haven’t won any of their last five league games and come into this matchup having failed to score in any of their previous four league games. West Brom are the in-form team heading into this clash, so I’m backing the second-tier outfit advance into the quarter-finals with a win.

Pick: West Bromwich Albion to Win – 2.60

Derby County vs. Manchester United – 3/5/20

Wayne Rooney will face his old club on Thursday when Derby welcome Manchester United to the iPro Stadium. The Rams have been pretty inconsistent throughout the season, but a run of one defeat in their last four league games has seen the club move up the Championship table. It’s also worth pointing out that Derby have scored in each of their last nine outings. Meanwhile, Man Utd’s defense looked shaky against Everton at the weekend and the Red Devils were lucky not to lose their previous game. Odds of 1.60 for Derby to score seem too good to miss.

Pick: Home Team to Score Over 0.5 Goals – 1.60
