Elche at Valladolid 1/19/21 - LaLiga Picks & Predictions

Two teams that are sitting dangerously close to the relegation zone of the La Liga will lock horns on Tuesday, when Valladolid will host Elche. Valladolid have looked slightly better than Elche so far in the season and this is a crucial match for both sides.

Valladolid (4-8-6) played for a draw against Pena Deportiva in the Cup but scored three goals in the extra time and moved on. Last week in the La Liga they lost to Valencia by 1-0 at home, but that was their only loss in their last five matches in all competitions (1-1-3). Going back to December 11th, Valladolid have only lost to Valencia and Barcelona (3-2-4). They are sitting at the 17th spot of the league table with 18 points, just two ahead of Elche who are below the red line.

Elche (3-6-7) are coming off a couple of losses in the Cup and the league. They were eliminated by 0-2 against Rayo Vallecano in the Cup, while last week they fell to Getafe by 3-1 at home. They have been in really bad shape with just one win (in the Cup) over their last seven matches in all competitions. Their last La Liga win dates back to October 23rd. It is no wonder they are sitting at the 18th spot with 16 points. Oddly enough, they have been better on the road (2-3-2) than they have been at home (1-3-5).
