They will now return home for their last league match of the season, where they will play host to Eibar on Sunday. Eibar had a pretty solid season, but failed to secure a European ticket for next year.

Atletico Madrid (23-5-9) had no problems in overcoming Marseille in the Europa League final on Wednesday, whom they blasted by 3-0. They grabbed a well-deserved title, and they will now look to secure their spot in the La Liga. Last week they defeated Getafe by 1-0 on the road, and have now won four of their last five (4-1-0). Atletico Madrid are still sitting at the 2nd spot of the La Liga with 75 points, three ahead of arch-rivals Real Madrid. They now need just a single point to secure the 2nd spot. Eibar (14-15-8) are coming off a slim 0-1 win at home against Las Palmas at home last week. Prior to that they destroyed Girona by a massive 4-1 on the road, and have now lost just one of their last five (3-1-1). Eibar have suffered a bit between February and April, and that is why they failed to secure a European ticket for next season. They are now sitting at the 9th spot of the La Liga with 50 points, five behind the 7th Sevilla.
