Uruguay have been dubbed as one of the favorites to win the Copa America this year, and they will start their duties with a tricky match against Ecuador on Sunday. Ecuador have not fared well in this match-up over the years but have been quite solid lately.

The last time Ecuador won an opening match was back in 1993 (0-6-3 since). Ecuador have only won three times in the last six editions of the Copa America (3-13-3) and are the team with the worst record in the tournament (16-80-22).
