Dusseldorf at Leverkusen 2/17/19 - Bundesliga Picks & Predictions

Bayer Leverkusen have been doing a great job in the Bundesliga lately but are also distracted by other competitions. They are coming off a draw in the Europa League and before the second leg next week they will have to host Dusseldorf this Sunday. Dusseldorf have not been anything special but can create problems here.

Bayer Leverkusen (10-8-3) played for a goal-less draw on the road against Russian side Krasnodar in the first leg of the round of 32 of the Europa League. Last week they humiliated Mainz by a massive 5-1 on the road and have now won each of their last three matches for the Bundesliga. Bayer Leverkusen are sitting 6th in the league table with 33 points, just as many as Frankfurt above them. They have not been very stable at home so far in the league (5-4-1) but they have lost just one of their last seven home matches in all competitions (5-1-1). Dusseldorf (7-10-4) were great in their last match and actually destroyed Stuttgart by 0-3 at home. Even so, that was just their second win in five matches in 2019 (2-2-1), which is nothing like the form they had before the break when they won three in a row. Dusseldorf are now sitting at the 12th spot of the league table with 25 points, two ahead of Freiburg and two behind Mainz. They have not been anything special on the road so far (2-4-4), where they have scored just 10 goals and have conceded 22 in the process.
