Valencia might be coming off a win in their last match, but they have been in really poor form lately. Even so, they captured the 4th spot and they will play at the top European competition next season. In their last match of the season they will play host to Deportivo La Coruna who have had a pretty bad season.
Valencia (21-9-7) were engaged in a really competitive match on the road against Girona last week, where they scored the winning goal at the 61st minute for the final 1-0. That was actually their first win after a five-match win-less streak (0-3-2), but it didn't matter all that much. Valencia failed to break into the top-three spots this season, but they did finish at the 4th spot, and they were awarded with a ticket to the Champions League next season.
Deportivo La Coruna (6-20-11) have had quite a bad season, and have been mathematically relegated since a while back. Last week they suffered a bad loss at home against Villarreal, as they failed to be competitive in that 4-2 loss. They have won just two matches since mid-December, showing great weaknesses in the defensive end. They will finish at the 18th spot of the La Liga, and they will participate in the La Liga 2 next season. They had the worst defense in the league with 74 conceded goals, while scoring 37.
