Portland will be looking for their third consecutive win on Sunday, when they will play host to DC United. DC United have been in really bad shape of the past weeks but did record a nice away win in their most recent match.

DC United (11-10-9) did an excellent job in their last match, where they blasted Montreal by 3-0 on the road. They managed to score all three goals in a 12-minute span in the first half and easily held on to the result. But that win came after three consecutive losses for DC United. They are now sitting at the 5th spot of the Eastern Conference with 42 points, six behind the 3rd Atlanta United. DC United have been quite competitive on the road (5-6-4) but have won just one of their last five (1-3-1).

Portland (13-11-4) are coming off a really hard-fought 1-2 home win over Sporting Kansas City. They were down by one goal till the 83rd minute but scored twice after that and eventually won. That was their second consecutive win and fourth in their last six. Portland are 6th in the Western Conference with 43 points, just as many as Dallas. They have been quite solid at home so far (7-3-2), where they have played each of their last six matches.
