DC United at New York City FC 3/10/19 - MLS Picks & Predictions

NYCFC were on track for a nice win in the season opener against Orlando City but sadly got just one point. They will now play their first home match of the season when they will host DC United on Sunday. DC United did a great job to beat Atlanta United with a clean sheet last week.

NYCFC (0-0-1) made a really strong start in their away match against Orlando City, taking the lead at the 13th minute and doubling that at the 45th. But Orlando City were not very bad in that match and managed to pull even with goals at the 59th and 75th minute. Last season NYCFC finished 3rd in the Eastern Conference, and lost just once at home in 17 league matches (12-1-4). DC United (1-0-0) will be feeling delighted about the outcome of their home match against Atlanta United. They were dominant in the first half and created a ton of scoring chances. But it took them a while to take the lead, scoring the first goal at the 45th minute. The second half was much more balanced between the two sides, but Acosta doubled the lead for DC United at the 58th minute for the final 0-2. DC United will look to improve on the road compared to last season where they won just one win in 17 matches (1-9-7).
