LAFC have been struggling to get results lately, and they should really grab all the points they can before the World Cup because their best players will go on international duty. They will now play host to DC United on Saturday, who might be coming off a win but they have been mediocre at best so far.
LAFC (6-3-2) suffered a tough loss on the road in their last match for the MLS, where they concede a late goal for the final 1-2. They have now won just one of their last four matches (1-1-2), but they have actually been very good in their inaugural season in the MLS. They are now sitting at the 2nd spot of the Western Conference with 20 points, four points behind Conference leaders Sporting Kansas City. Their best players will leave on international duty soon, so LAFC will look to grab as many points as they can until that happens.
DC United (2-5-2) emerged victorious from their trip to San Jose last week, where they defeated the Quakes by 3-1. They actually scored all three goals by the 37th minute, and had a pretty easy job in the rest of the match. However, that was just their second win of the season. DC United are still stuck at the bottom of the Eastern Conference with 8 points, but to be fair they have played seven of their nine matches so far on the road.
