The Magpies are 1-3-1 coming off a stoppage-time loss to Liverpool. Newcastle led at the half with a goal from recent signee Alexander Isak before Liverpool got the equalizer in the 61st minute. A draw seemed inevitable before the Magpies failed to clear a corner and Fabio Carvalho blasted the game-winner into the net off the crossbar.

Palace is 1-2-2 after failing to secure the win and nearly suffering a loss against Brentford. The Eagles took a 1-0 lead in the 59th minute when Wilfried Zaha scored his fourth goal of the season and appeared to be on the way to securing three points late in the contest. Brentford would upset the celebration for the Palace faithful, however, when Yoane Wissa headed home the equalizer in the 88th minute. Brentford almost won it in stoppage time but a close-range header by Ben Mee off a corner kick went off the crossbar.

Newcastle is 11-6-5 against Palace in Premier League fixtures after taking four points from the Eagles last season. The Magpies won 1-0 in April after a 1-1 draw in October. Palace’s last win against Newcastle was a 1-0 victory at home on Feb. 22, 2020.
