Napoli had a lot of chances to solidify themselves in the top spot of the Serie A, but they have choked on so many occasions. They could not get anything better than the 2nd spot, and they will now play host to Crotone on Sunday, in the final match of the season. Crotone are currently below the red zone, and they want a win now more than ever.
Napoli (27-3-7) are coming off a strong 2-0 win on the road against Sampdoria, but it didn't really help them at all. The problem is that they grabbed just one point from their previous two matches against Torino and Fiorentina, as they were looking to overtake Juventus for the top spot. Napoli were really good all season, but they messed up in those final matches, and are now left with nothing to chase. They will finish at the 2nd spot, and will play in the Champions League next season.
Crotone (9-20-8) played for a hard-fought 2-2 draw at home against Lazio last week. They have been really trying to move out of the red zone lately, as they have lost just two of their last seven matches (3-2-2). Crotone are now sitting at the 18th spot of the Serie A with 35 points, just as many as SPAL who are outside. Both teams are one point behind Cagliari and two points behind Udinese and Chievo, so anything can happen in the final match-day of the Serie A.
