Croatia made a really bad start in the UEFA Nations League but have turned the ship around and are actually challenging the top spot of the group now. They are coming off a massive win over Spain in their last match and will now play host to England on Sunday. England can also climb to the top spot with a win here, in what is expected to be a do-or-die match between the two teams.

England (1-1-1) made some experiments with their lineup and formation in their friendly match against USA on Thursday, in a match that was in honor of Wayne Rooney who played his last match with the national outfit. Three players made their debut in that match, and one of them, Callum Wilson, even scored in an easy 0-3 win for England. They had scored two early goals in the first half and even though they kept a clean sheet they weren’t very careful at the back. They are sitting 2nd in the group with 4 points and a win here would see them through to the next round. Croatia (1-1-1) played a really great match at home against Spain on Thursday, where they eventually recorded a massive win. It was a really quiet first half between the two teams, but both teams exploded in the second half. Croatia took the lead twice but Spain managed to respond to both goals almost immediately. However, right back Jedvaj scored his second goal of the night at the stoppage time and granted Croatia a massive win that kept them alive in the chase of the top spot. But more importantly, it gave them the cushion to avoid the relegation with at least a goal draw on this match.
