Two teams that are coming off wins in their last matches will now look to keep it up, when Vancouver will play host to Columbus on Saturday. Vancouver managed to put an end to their losing streak when they beat Houston, while Columbus have been in really solid shape over the last couple of months.

Columbus Crew (9-15-7) showed great signs of improvement when they beat Atlanta United by 3-1 on the road last week. They even conceded the first goal in that match but managed to overturn the lead in their favor and eventually managed to extend their undefeated streak. Columbus have now lost just once in their last ten matches (4-1-5), which was also the only time they failed to score. They are still stuck at the penultimate spot of the East though, with 34 points, but just six points off the playoffs.

Vancouver (7-15-9) had to score a late goal in their home match against Houston in order to win by 1-2. That was their first win after a three-match losing streak, but they have kept just one clean sheet in their last seven matches, Vancouver are still sitting at the bottom of the Western Conference with 30 points, now four behind Houston and a whole 13 points behind the playoffs. They haven’t been any good at home either, where they have the worst record in the Conference (5-6-4).
