Group B of the Copa Libertadores is surely one of the most exciting ones so far, as nothing is certain, and all three top spots are up for grabs. Atletico Nacional are currently sitting at the top spot, and they will now play host to the 2nd Colo Colo on Thursday, with both teams looking to solidify their positions.
Atletico Nacional (3-2-0) made a strong start in the group stage this season, when they defeated Colo Colo by a slim 1-0 on the road. They doubled that with a strong 1-4 at home against Delfin in the second match, but fell by 0-1 on the road against Bolivar. They did take revenge for that loss when they destroyed Bolivar by 1-4 at home, but they fell again by 0-1 on the road against Delfin. They are still sitting at the top of Group B with 9 points, just two points off Colo Colo and Delfin, so they can potentially drop to the 3rd spot if results go against them.
Colo Colo (2-2-1) were not very good when this group stage started, as they grabbed just a single point from their first three matches. They knew that they had to quickly return to winning ways in order to have a chance for qualifying, and they did exactly that. They defeated Delfin by 2-1 on the road, and also Bolivar by 0-2 at home in their most recent match. They are now sitting at the 2nd spot of the group with 7 points, just as many as Delfin, with both teams sitting two points behind Atletico Nacional and two ahead of Bolivar.
