Cincinnati FC at NYCFC 6/6/19 - MLS Picks & Predictions

NYCFC kept their undefeated streak intact after a trip to Columbus and will now return home after four consecutive matches on the road. They will have a theoretically easy job on Thursday when they will host newcomers Cincinnati. The visitors have struggled mightily in their maiden season in the MLS and there is no end in sight.

NYCFC (4-1-8) found themselves chasing the score twice in their away match against Columbus Crew but pulled even on both occasions and escaped with a point. That was their fourth consecutive match on the road, as NYCFC are still undefeated in their last nine matches (4-0-5). They are sitting at the 6th spot of the Eastern Conference with 20 points, four behind Montreal and the Red Bulls. Oddly enough, they have never lost at home but have the fewest points in the Conference (1-0-4). Cincinnati (3-10-2) fell short in the battle of the depths against Colorado last week, as they lost by 1-3 on the road. That was their third consecutive loss and eighth in their last nine matches (1-8-0). Moreover, they failed to score in six of those matches and conceded multiple goals in six. Cincinnati are still stuck at the bottom of the Eastern Conference with 11 points, now five behind New England. Away matches haven’t been much better for them either (1-7-1).
