Chicago Fire at Orlando City SC 8/21/21 - MLS Picks & Predictions

Orlando City are coming off their third consecutive draw and they will now look for a win when they will play host to Chicago Fire on Saturday. Chicago met a loss in Miami and saw their small unbeaten streak come to an end, but they will try to get back on track against Orlando here.

Orlando City (8-4-7) were not vert good in their away match against Nashville, especially in the first half, but they did manage to pull even and held out for a 1-1 draw. That was their third 1-1 draw in a row, while in-between they met a 1-0 loss to Santos Laguna in the Leagues Cup. Orlando City are sitting at the 5th spot of the Eastern Conference with 31 points, scoring 29 and conceding 24 goals in the process. They have only lost to the Red Bulls at home so far (5-1-3), scoring 17 goals and conceding just 7 in the process. However, they have not kept a single clean sheet in their last 5 matches at home.

Chicago Fire (5-10-5) are coming off a frustrating 3-2 loss on the road against Inter Miami. They conceded an early goal but had overturned the lead by the start of the second half. Even so, they conceded two goals in the second half, one of which was in the 3rd minute of stoppage time, and eventually lost by 3-2. That loss came after a small, 4-match unbeaten streak (2-0-2), but those were their only wins in their last 8 (2-3-3). Chicago are sitting at the 11th spot of the Eastern Conference with 20 points, scoring 23 and conceding 32 goals in the process. They have the worst away record in the Conference (0-6-1), scoring just 5 and conceding 17 goals in the process.

Chicago beat Orlando City by 3-1 at home earlier in the season, while last season it was Orlando who won by 4-1 at home. Even so, that was their only home win over Chicago (1-2-3). Siding with Orlando City here.
