Chicago Fire at Montreal Impact 4/28/19 - MLS Picks & Predictions

Montreal Impact pulled a nice away win against Montreal mid-week and found some much-needed fire up front. They will now return home for their next assignment, where they will play host to Chicago Fire on Sunday. Chicago Fire saw their undefeated streak come to an end in NYC.

Montreal Impact (4-3-2) were tremendous in the first half of their away match against New England last week, but scored all three goals in the final 15 minutes of that match. Even so, they scored multiple goals for the first time after five matches. Montreal Impact are now sitting at the 2nd spot of the Eastern Conference with 14 points, three behind DC United. They have only played one home match so far, a 0-1 against Columbus Crew. Chicago Fire (2-3-3) are coming off a slim 0-1 loss on the road against New York City FC. They conceded the only goal of the match at the 9th minute and were pretty bad up front. That loss put an end to Chicago’s four match undefeated streak (2-0-2) and it was the first time they failed to score so far in the season. They are now sitting at the 8th spot of the Eastern Conference with 9 points, just two behind the playoff spots.
