Champions League – Semi-Finals – Best Bets, Odds, Picks & Predictions

On Tuesday, RB Leipzig clashes with PSG for the first 2019/20 UEFA Champions League semi-final, before underdog Lyon faces tournament-favorite Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

Leipzig beat Atletico Madrid to reach the last four, while PSG advanced with a last-gasp victory over Atalanta. Bayern Munich destroyed Barcelona 8-2 in the quarter-finals, with Lyon securing a shock win over Manchester City.

Who will reach the final? Here are Champions League semi-final best bets.

RB Leipzig vs. PSG – 08/18/20

The bookies have made RB Leipzig the clear outsider to win this matchup, and you can’t really argue with that. After all, the German side is competing in their first-ever European semi-final. However, that doesn’t mean to say that Leipzig can’t beat PSG and reach the final. In fact, I think they will do just that.

PSG is the obvious favorite at 1.73, but the French side was far from convincing in their quarter-final win over Atalanta. Thomas Tuchel’s men appeared to be heading out of the competition, before two late goal swung the game in their favor. PSG is strong going forward, but their backline is weak. I can see Leipzig exploiting PSG’s weaknesses, and with odds of 4.20, you’d be foolish not to back Germans.

Pick: RB Leipzig to Win – 4.20

Lyon vs. Bayern Munich – 08/19/20

Nobody expected Lyon to overcome Manchester City, but Rudi Garcia’s side stunned the EPL giants to reach the last four. Kevin De Bruyne cancelled out Maxwel Cornet’s first-half goal midway through the second half, but Moussa Dembele netted a late double to shock Pep Guardiola’s men. But has Lyon got what it takes to stop this rampant Bayern Munich team?

The manner with which Bayern humiliated Barcelona in the previous round was nothing short of unbelievable. The German giant was 4-1 up inside 30 minutes and eventually thrashed the Spaniards 8-2. Bayern also scored 100 goals in 34 Bundesliga games this term – an average of just under three goals per game – and have netted 39 goals in just nine Champions League outings – an average of just under 4.5 goals per game. Needless to say, anything other than a high-scoring Bayern win would be a huge shock.

Pick: Bayern Munich to Win and Over 3.5 Goals – 2.10
