Tottenham really lucked out in their Champions League endeavors this season and actually needed a gift from another team in order to qualify. They will now return to domestic duties on Saturday, when they will play host to Burnley for the Premier League. Burnley have been really bad so far in the season but bounced back with a strong win in their last match.

Tottenham (12-4-0) are coming into this match after a really hard-fought 1-1 draw on the road against Barcelona in their final match-day of the Champions League group stage. They needed the same or better result than Inter Milan, who got stuck at a 1-1 draw at home against the indifferent PSV Eindhoven. Tottenham recorded a nice 2-0 win on the road against Leicester and are still sitting at the 3rd spot of the Premier League with 36 points. They have been quite solid at home so far in the league (4-2-0), where they also have two wins, a draw and a loss in other competitions. Burnley (3-10-3) had a nice match at home against Brighton last week, as they won by a slim 0-1 and broke out of their slump. Prior to that they were win-less in eight consecutive matches (0-6-2) and are now sitting at the 17th spot of the league table with 12 points. They are two points ahead of the relegation zone but they have the 3rd worst offense in the league with just 15 goals so far, and the 2nd worst defense with 32 conceded. They have been equally bad on the road so far (1-5-2), where they have scored just 6 goals and have conceded 17 in the process.
