Aston Villa remain with one win after six matches in the new season of the Premier League, but are coming off a strong win in the Carabao Cup. They will now return home after two away matches, and will play host to Burnley on Saturday. Burnley have remained undefeated in their last two matches and will look for another success here.
Burnley (2-2-2) did a really solid job when they hosted Norwich last week, as they scored two early goals and held on to the result. That 0-2 win means that Burnley have grabbed four points in their last two, but it was just their second win of the season, and the second clean sheet. They are now sitting at the 9th spot of the league table with 8 points, scoring eight and conceding seven goals so far. All three of their away matches had goals from both sides so far (0-1-2).
Aston Villa (1-4-1) are coming off a nice 3-1 away win against Brighton in the Carabao Cup and regained some confidence. Last week they fought hard against Arsenal but eventually fell by 2-3 on the road. Aston Villa are now sitting at the 18th spot of the league table with 4 points, scoring six and conceding nine goals so far. Their only win so far has come at home, by 0-2 against Everton (1-1-1 total).
