Tottenham (22-11-1) are coming off a slim 0-1 loss on the road against Manchester City last week. They were slightly better than they were in their 3-4 loss in the same venue for the Champions League just three days prior. Tottenham are now sitting at the 3rd spot of the league table with 67 points, one ahead of Chelsea and Arsenal. Dropping to the 5th spot would mean that they won’t have a Champions League ticket anymore. Brighton (9-18-7) were terrible in their away match against Wolves but still managed to hold out for a goal-less draw. Prior to that, Brighton had lost five in a row in all competitions, and have also failed to score a single goal in their last six. Brighton are currently sitting at the 17th spot of the league table with 34 points. They are just three ahead of Cardiff and the relegation zone, with one less match played.
