Brazil made a shaky start in the World Cup this summer but managed to bounce back in a solid manner. They reached the quarter-finals but fell short. They will now get ready for a friendly match against Uruguay on Friday, that will be played in the Emirates Stadium in London. Uruguay also made a good run in the World Cup but it was cut short in the same round.

Uruguay had a pretty easy job in the World Cup this summer, but they were also lucky with the draw. They were up against Russia, Egypt and Saudi Arabia in their group and won all three matches without even conceding. They conceded their first goal in the round of 16 against Portugal but won that match by 1-2 before bowing out against France by 2-0 in the quarter-finals. Since then they have played three friendly matches, winning the first by 4-1 against Mexico but losing the other two against South Korea (1-2) and Japan (3-4). Brazil made a really scary start in the World Cup when they were held to a 1-1 draw against Switzerland. But they bounced back with clean sheets wins over Costa Rica and Serbia. They struggled a bit to overcome Mexico by 2-0 in the round of 16 but were eliminated by Belgium in the quarter-finals (2-1). Brazil have played four friendly matches ever since, winning all five with clean sheets. They recorded away wins against USA and Saudi Arabia (both by 2-0), blasted El Salvador by 0-5 and also beat Argentina by 0-1 in their most recent.

Even though both teams have great defensive lines, they always produce goals against one another. Eight of the last ten matches between the two have featured goals from both sides, and seven of those also featured Over 2.5 Goals.
