Bournemouth at Manchester City 12/1/18 - Premier League Picks & Predictions

Manchester City have been unstoppable so far in the season but are coming off a draw in the Champions League. But it didn’t cost them much as they did secure their presence to the next round of the competition. They will now return home for their next match where they will play host to the ever dangerous side of Bournemouth on Saturday.

Manchester City (11-0-2) fought hard in France against Lyon mid-week and managed to secure a 2-2 draw and a ticket to the Champions League knock out round. Last week in the Premier League they blasted West Ham by a strong 4-0 on the road. They are now on a run of five consecutive wins in the Premier League and are of course still sitting at the top with 35 points. They are two ahead of Liverpool and five ahead of Tottenham. Manchester City have been strong as usual at home so far, where they have won won nine of their ten matches in all competitions. Moreover, they have kept four clean sheets in the last six. Bournemouth (6-5-2) made a really great run during October (5-0-1 in all competitions) and were at one point featuring inside the top six. But they have found it hard to get results recently as they are coming off three consecutive losses. Oddly enough, each of their last four matches ended at either 2-1 or 1-2. Last week they conceded a late goal against Arsenal to lose by 2-1, which was a tough third in a row. Bournemouth are now sitting at the 8th spot of the league table with 20 points, just one off Manchester United and seven behind the top five. They have been quite feisty on the road (3-3-0) where they have beaten Fulham, Watford and West Ham.
