Bordeaux at Metz 5/19/18 - Ligue 1 Picks & Predictions

Bordeaux have been really great over the past month or so, in their quest to secure a ticket to the European competitions next season. They will look only for a win when they will be hosted by Metz on Saturday, in the final Match-day of the Ligue 1. Metz have already been eliminated and have been in pretty bad form lately.

Metz (6-23-8) have had a really poor season and it is no wonder that they are the first team to have been mathematically relegated. Last week they actually tried really hard against Amiens on the road, but they were really inaccurate in their shots. Their opponents scored two goals and forced Metz to their third consecutive loss. Metz have been stuck at the bottom of the Ligue 1 for almost the entire season, featuring the 3rd worst offense with 34 goals, and the worst defense with 72 conceded. Bordeaux (15-15-7) had to come back from one goal behind in order to defeat Toulouse by 2-4 at home last week. They have been in really top form lately, as they have won five of their last six matches but failing to keep a single clean sheet in that span. They are now sitting at the 7th spot of the league table with 52 points, just as many as Saint Etienne, while both teams are just two points behind Nice and the 6th spot that leads to the Europa League qualifiers next season.
