Two teams that last met in a Champions League final will now lock horns once again, when Manchester United will host Barcelona on Wednesday. The two giants will clash against one another for the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.

Manchester United thought they run out of luck when they lost by 2-0 at home against PSG in the first leg of the round of 16. But they were tremendous in the second leg in France, where they scored a late penalty kick to win by 3-1 and progress to the next round. Manchester United have not fared well against Spanish sides lately, winning just twice in their last 15 such matches (2-7-6). Moreover, they didn’t win any of the last six and have won just once in the last eight when hosting (1-3-4). Barcelona played for a goal-less draw on the road against Lyon in the first leg of the previous round. But it was a good result, as they went on to destroy them by a massive 1-5 at home in the second leg and comfortably went through. Barcelona have a great history when facing English sides, losing just once in their last 13 matches (9-1-3). They have also won 14 of their 24 two-legged match-ups against English opposition.
